{"id":323,"date":"2007-02-18T18:45:50","date_gmt":"2007-02-18T23:45:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.citizennetmom.com\/?p=323"},"modified":"2007-02-18T18:45:50","modified_gmt":"2007-02-18T23:45:50","slug":"weekend-wrap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.citizennetmom.com\/?p=323","title":{"rendered":"Weekend Wrap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" alt=\"Gamma-Jr\" title=\"Gamma-Jr\" src=\"http:\/\/www.citizennetmom.com\/images\/0217gamma-jr.jpg\" \/>Since Fat Tuesday approaches and we really can&#8217;t be hanging out late on a weeknight, we kinda-sorta had a taste of Mardi Gras last night.<\/p>\n<p>Gamma and her godbrother (who doesn&#8217;t have a cool blog name yet, but soon will) posed in front of the Mardi Gras tree&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"mudbugs\" title=\"mudbugs\" src=\"http:\/\/www.citizennetmom.com\/images\/0217mudbugs.jpg\" \/>as the mudbugs contemplated an escape.  They were unsuccessful, and promptly devoured.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" alt=\"snowhouse\" title=\"snowhouse\" src=\"http:\/\/www.citizennetmom.com\/images\/0218house.jpg\" \/>  This morning brought a peaceful scene, which made for a lovely drive to an uncrowded church service.<\/p>\n<p>In the sermon, our minister told a funny story of a young bride who hadn&#8217;t reviewed their wedding vows prior to the ceremony, and when it came to the part about promising to obey, the bride faltered&#8230; whereupon the minister quickly resumed the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>I sat trying to contain my laughter, remembering that I had Cal Maas, who married us, take out the word &#8220;obey&#8221; and substitute &#8220;honor.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I usually obey, except when he&#8217;s wrong.\u00c2\u00a0 But even when I disobey, I do try to honor him.<\/p>\n<p>He who tames flying monkeys has admitted that a more docile type might not have been the best match.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since Fat Tuesday approaches and we really can&#8217;t be hanging out late on a weeknight, we kinda-sorta had a taste of Mardi Gras last night.
